Shanti Communication School, Ahmedabad
At Shanti Educational Initiatives, a firm belief that also forms the basis of all our endeavours is that good businesses are a product of effective communication, complemented by efficient design. That is also the reason why, after the success of SBS, the Group has now launched Shanti Communication School (SCS), the natural next step after the B-School.

SCS, just like SBS, deems that industry-readiness is that one indispensable quality all students must possess by the time they’re done with their degree. In keeping with this philosophy, the institute follows a ‘Backward Integration’ approach, wherein the requirements of the industry shape the curriculum. Students are trained keeping in mind the various roles they will need to fit into, on graduating.

SCS, for its first academic year (2011-2012), is offering a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Communication) – PGDM (C). With an intake of 120 students in total, the institute expects to offer electives ranging from New Media and Cyber Journalism to Production for Radio and TV, Advertising Strategies, Brand and Image Management, and several others, as demanded by the students and deemed necessary by the curriculum.

SCS’s novel teaching methodology will be aided suitably by state-of-the-art infrastructure. A fully-equipped studio, recording rooms, editing suites, an AV screening room and brainstorming zones are just some of the facilities available to SCS students. The pedagogy comprises lectures, case studies, workshops, seminars, role play and simulated games, besides industry-oriented projects, assignments and a full six months spent interning with reputed media organizations.
